The federal withholidng report is a part of BambooHR Payroll, an add-on product.

Can I run a report on federal withholding information in BambooHR?

Purpose: This report shows you employees' federal withholding information for verification purposes before running payroll.

This report is automatically available to Full Admin users and Payroll Admin users. Additionally, they can share this report with a custom access level user who has access to the information in this report.

Federal Withholding

Go to the Standard Reports folder on the Reports tab and select Federal Withholding under the Payroll section. This report shows the following federal withholding information of all employees:

  • Employee #
  • Employee name
  • Filing Status
  • Additional Withholding (Amount and type)
  • Federal Tax Exempt (Yes or No)
  • Head of Household (Yes or No)
  • FUTA Exempt
  • FICA Exempt
  • Two Jobs (Yes or No)
  • Dependent Amount
  • Other Income
  • Deductions

Clicking on an employee's name will take you to the employee's Pay Info tab with the Taxes tab open. Edits made within the Federal Tax Withholding section on an employee's Taxes tab will reflect in this report.

Users with access can download this report in a PDF, Excel, or CSV format.
