Can I Report on the Number of Hours Employees Work for Each Project?

Purpose: If you are using BambooHR Time & Attendance, you can have your employees track the time they are working on specific projects and tasks. The Employee Project Hours report will show you the total time each employee worked on a specific project or task during the selected time period. This help guide will walk you through how to run this report.

Employee Project Hours

The Employee Project Hours report will show you the total number of hours each employee worked on each project and task during the selected time period. This will include both billable and non-billable hours.

  1. Date Range and Employees: Select the date range of which you'd like to see the total number of working hours. If you'd like to filter the list of employees, choose from one of the standard filters.
  2. Project Status: This report will automatically only include active projects. However, you can click this drop-down to change this to include all or only archived projects.
  3. Previous Time & Attendance Participants: Check this box to include data about employees who were previously enrolled in time tracking.
  4. Employee: Each employee will show the total number of project hours, both billable and non-billable.
  5. Project: Each project listed under the employee's name will show the total number of hours the employee worked for that specific project, both billable and non-billable.
  6. Task: If you click on the project name, you can see the list of tasks associated with the project that the employee has worked hours towards. This includes all billable and non-billable hours.

This report can be shared with any custom access level users. The user will only be able to see information about the employees they have permissions to view or edit timesheets for. The totals in this report will only reflect what the user can see.
