Account Validation Review

The Account Validation Review (AVR) is essential for verifying account data prior to the first payroll run in BambooHR. Users will receive an email four days before payroll, prompting them to verify company information. For multiple EINs, separate reviews are required. The AVR can also be accessed through the Payroll Onboarding checklist. If not completed, a warning will appear on the Payroll tab. To complete the AVR, users must review a list of items, correct any discrepancies, and confirm the data. A successful submission will display a confirmation banner with the verification date and name. Completing the AVR ensures accurate company and employee data before payroll processing.

What is the Account Validation Review (AVR), and how do I complete it?

Purpose: This guide will walk you through completing the Account Validation Review (AVR) to verify your account data before running your first payroll in implementation.

Accessing the AVR

Four days prior to running your first payroll with BambooHR, you will receive an email notification asking to verify your company information. If you have multiple EINs, you will receive an email for each EIN and will need to complete an Account Validation Review for each one. Click the Verify Info in the email to open up and view the AVR in a separate tab.  

You can also access the AVR from your Payroll Onboarding checklist within the Approve Payroll task item. 

If the AVR is not complete, you will find a warning on the Payroll tab where you can also access and verify your company information. Again, click Verify Info to complete the AVR. 

You must complete this step before running payroll to ensure your company and employee data is accurate.

Completing the AVR

After opening the AVR form, a list of items will appear for you to verify. Clicking on the links in the line items will take you directly to the data you need to review in a separate tab. 

Once you have verified or corrected all of the data, check the acceptance box and click Confirm. A banner will appear at the top if the submission is successful and will include the date and name of the person who verified the account.
