How do I access and use required reading posts in Employee Community as an employee?

Purpose: To help you understand how you can interact with Employee Community required reading posts as an employee.

Required reading post overview

Required reading posts allow admins to turn any Employee Community post into mandatory reading. When enabled, you must confirm that you have seen and read the specific post.

Interacting with required reading posts

After reading the required reading post in Employee Community, you will need to confirm that you have read it by clicking Confirm.

Required reading post notifications

Required reading posts will send three different notifications to employees:

  • Email notification
  • In-product notification
  • Weekly reminder digest

Email notification

When a required reading post is published, the system will send an email notification to all required readers. From here, you can click the confirm button directly from the email to view the post in Employee Community. You will need to click Confirm again once you have read the post.

In-product notification

When a required reading post is published, Employee Community will also display a red notification to all required readers. From here, click on the notification to view the required reading post and confirm you have read it.

Weekly reminder digest

If admins have enabled weekly digest emails, employees will receive a weekly email reminder every Monday for their outstanding required posts that still require a response. The digest email will include all required reading posts and will continue to be sent until all posts are confirmed.
