EEO-1 Report

The EEO-1 report in BambooHR provides a breakdown of employee counts by job category, race/ethnicity, and gender, accessible only to Account Owners and Full Admins. Users can filter data by specific time periods and export results in various formats. The report is available if the company's Default Country is set to the United States. To access the report, navigate to Reports > Standard Reports and select EEO-1 Report. Users can view data for all employees, apply filters, edit EEO categories, and export the report. Only Account Owners and Full Admins can edit EEO categories, which align with the EEOC's definitions. The EEO-1 report in BambooHR shows the total number of employees in each job category, organized by race/ethnicity and gender. It includes filters for viewing data from specific time periods and options to export results in multiple formats. The report is only available to Account Owners and Full Admins.

Run and filter the report

The EEO reports in BambooHR are only available if your company's Default Country field in Settings > General Settings is set to United States.

EEO-1

The EEO-1 report shows employee counts by job category, race/ethnicity, and gender. Each column represents a race/ethnicity and gender combination, and each row represents an EEO job category. The final cell in the bottom right corner displays the total number of employees* in your company.

To open the report, go to Reports  > Standard Reports, and then under the Employee Information section, select EEO-1 Report. The following actions are available in the report:

  1. Select a date range to view employee data as of a specific period.
  2. Apply standard filters to narrow down the data. (The report shows data for all employees by default.)
  3. Edit EEO categories if needed.
  4. Export the report in PDF, CSV, or Excel format by clicking the three-dot icon in the top right corner. The report can also be printed or emailed.

*Totals include only employees whose profiles contain values for both Ethnicity and EEO Job Category fields. Inactive employees who are not terminated are included in the count and may affect data accuracy. If your account has inactive employees, a blue banner appears at the top of the report and inline messaging displays at the bottom, indicating that inactive employees should be marked as Terminated to ensure accurate data.

Edit EEO categories

Only the Account Owner and Full Admins can edit EEO-1 categories.

The Edit EEO Categories link in the report allows you to make edits to the job titles you have matched with each of the 10 EEO categories defined by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC):

  • Executive/Senior Level Officials and Managers
  • First/Mid Level Officials and Managers
  • Professionals
  • Technicians
  • Sales Workers
  • Administrative Support Workers
  • Craft Workers
  • Operatives
  • Laborers and Helpers
  • Service Workers

Open the Select Job Titles drop-down menu under each category to choose the corresponding job titles. You can click Description and examplesto view more details about each category. As you assign job titles, previously selected job titles are removed from the remaining lists.
