Is there a report that shows imported hours and Time & Attendance hours?

Purpose: To help you understand how to utilize the Approved Hours report for hours worked and imported using the hours importer and hours added through BambooHR® Time & Attendance (add-on).

Approved Hours report

  1. Select a date range to view hours.
  2. Select All Employees to filter the list of employees by the standard filters.
  3. Filter the report to show hours imported using the hours importer or hours entered using BambooHR Time & Attendance or both.

If you export this report, the Employee # will be included in the export.

Hours importer

This report shows all hours imported for a specified time frame using the hours importer. If you have not purchased BambooHR Time & Attendance, this report will only appear in your account if you have imported hours.

If you share this report, the user can view hours imported for all employees instead of only the employees they have access to view.

According to the accruals set for the time off policy, the image below shows that Christina received accruals based on the imported hours she had worked.

BambooHR Time & Attendance is available as an add-on

If you use BambooHR Time & Attendance, you can view the approved hours worked in this report. Change the Showing filter from All to BambooHR Time Tracking Hours. However, we recommend using the Payroll Hours report when viewing Time Tracking information as it will be most helpful for you when reviewing hours for approval.

The Reg Rate and OT Rate columns only apply to hours added via import or API. They will always remain empty if you are viewing BambooHR Time & Attendance hours (notice the highlighted dropdown menu above).

Be aware! The Approved Hours report does not include time off taken. In the report above, the employee worked 74.3833 hours, but the employee's timesheet shows 82 hours and 23 minutes. In the timesheet summary, you'll see that the employee took 8 hours of time off during this pay period, which accounts for the 8 hours difference.
