How do I import employee data from BambooHR into Lucidchart?

Lucidchart

Log in to your Lucidchart account. Click Org Chart.

Org chart templates

Select Blank Org Chart since you will be selecting the fields later on.

Import data

To import data, click File. Hover over "Import Data" and select Org Chart.

Import your employee table

Select BambooHR and enter your BambooHR subdomain.* Click Next.

*The subdomain is the first part of your BambooHR account URL, so if your account URL is https://helpcontent.bamboohr.com, your subdomain is helpcontent.

BambooHR login

You will be redirected to your BambooHR login screen. Enter your login credentials and click Log In.

Employee information

Check the box next to the fields you would like to show in the org chart. Click Import Data.

Separate org charts

Choose whether you would like to see one org chart for the entire organization or separate org charts for specific departments, divisions, etc.

Supervisors

If an employee does not have a manager listed in BambooHR, they will not be connected in the org chart. Before importing your data from BambooHR, make sure all employees have a manager listed.

Click Finish.

Org chart

You can now view your company's org chart in Lucidchart.
