How do I enable the Perk integration?

Before connecting to BambooHR, you will need to set up your Perk account and make sure you have completed the steps in this help guide.

Then, you will need to enter your BambooHR subdomain. Your BambooHR subdomain is the first part of your BambooHR account URL, so if your account URL is https://helpcontent.bamboohr.com, your subdomain is helpcontent.

About the integration

The BambooHR integration brings your employee directory into Perk and keeps it up to date.

With the integration turned on, you can:

  • Provision users — onboard new joiners and offboard leavers automatically from your BambooHR directory.
  • Auto-fill employee profile information on Perk.
  • Trigger manual syncs to add new employees and archive those who have left.
  • Run a fully automated daily sync between BambooHR and Perk.
  • Set up accounts automatically, including cost objects, companies, and approval routes.
  • Sync out-of-office periods from BambooHR (BETA).

  • A Pro or Premium Perk account
  • Admin access on both Perk and BambooHR
Important information

Review these points before you connect BambooHR to Perk.

  • If you have single sign-on (SSO) turned on for Perk, we recommend turning off Allowing user creation and Allowing user updates in your SSO settings, as these can conflict with the integration. For more information, see Customize SSO settings.
  • If the person who turned on the integration leaves your company or their account permissions change, the sync will fail. The new person managing the integration needs to reconnect it.
  • To turn off the BambooHR integration, follow the instructions on Manage integrations.
  • If you have any questions or need help setting up the integration, contact your account manager.
