How do I run a report on Employee Wellbeing data? 

Purpose: This guide will show you what information is available to you in the Employee Wellbeing report and how it can benefit your company.

Employee Wellbeing report overview

The Employee Wellbeing overview displays your employees' feelings of wellbeing based on their responses to the four listed questions and how these feelings have changed over time. It also breaks the data down by segment and demographic. This report is automatically available to Full Admin user(s) and Account Owner.

The following information is available in this report.

  1. Survey Date: Clicking here will show you a drop-down list of all Employee Wellbeing surveys sent out for your company (based on the frequency you have selected in Settings). You can select a past or present survey, and the data below will change to reflect that time period.
  2. Filter: Here you can filter by Age, Department, Division, Employment Status, Length of Service, Location, or All Employees. Please note that to maintain the anonymity of your employees, no data will be displayed if there are fewer than four employees in a particular filter.
  3. Survey Questions: A list of the questions selected for this particular survey.
  4. Trend: The most important thing to focus on when analyzing your Employee Wellbeing data is the trend of your score over time. The trend chart will only be displayed once you have completed two or more Employee Wellbeing surveys.
  5. Highest/Lowest Average Scores: This section will help you identify your company's strengths and weaknesses in terms of wellbeing. Please note the Employee Wellbeing Report groups survey results by several categories: department, division, location, age, and length of service so you may see duplicate entries in this section. If a segment name like "IT" or "Marketing"is used for both a department and a division in your organization, it can appear once for each grouping. When the same employees belong to both, their scores and response rates will match, making the entries show as duplicates. To see a clear breakdown by segment type, scroll to the "Scores by Company Segments" section, where departments, divisions, and locations are displayed separately.
  6. Scores by Company Segments: See data broken down by segments (Age, Length of Service, Department, and Division) and question types (Happiness, Personal Motivators, Company Motivators, Relationships) in a heat map. The darker the color, the higher the score; however, you can toggle 'Show scores' to display the scores as well. *If there are fewer than four responses within a segment, you will see a padlock icon to preserve employee anonymity.  
Benchmarking feature

Our Elite package includes a benchmarking feature in several standard reports, including the Employee Wellbeing report. If you are subscribed to Elite, you can enable the feature within the report to learn how your company's scores compare to peer companies' scores (by industry and size) and determine if there are any improvements needed.

To start using the benchmarking feature,* navigate to the Overview tab of the report and then click Show benchmark in the top right corner.

*The benchmarking feature cannot be enabled when there are standard filters applied to the report. Simply clear all filters and then toggle on Show benchmark.

  1. Depending on the setup of your account, results may appear automatically once you click "Show benchmark." Additionally, you can select the settings icon to filter the benchmark group by selecting a specific industry/industries and company size.
    • If fewer than five companies are included in the benchmark group after applying your filters, you will be notified that there is not enough data to compare, and you will be asked to try updating your filters.
  2. Click on each category (Happiness, Personal Motivators, etc.) to compare your data to peer companies and gain further insights. Peer companies will have a gray line representing their score in the chart.
  3. In addition to your company's score for each category, the Peer Companies column will show the score for the selected month. The arrow and number indicate how much higher or lower the score is compared to your company's score.

Survey Responses

The Employee Wellbeing survey responses show all responses from all employees. The following information is available on this tab.

  1. Survey date: As with the overview tab, you can select which survey you would like to view.
  2. Question type: Select the question type you would like to view.
  3. Question: Once you have selected the type, the question for that particular survey, along with all responses from your employees, will appear here. You will also see the trend line for that particular question type.

Share this report

To share a report, click the share button in the top right corner.

When you share this report, you will have the option to filter the information that people will see in the report. While viewing the report, you will see the message above: "People you share this report with will see all Employee Wellbeing data." You can limit what people can see by adding filters before sharing (see below).

If you want to share the entire report with a specific person, type their name and click Share.

If you would like to filter the Employee Wellbeing data so that the person you are sharing with can only see a subset of data, filter the report before clicking the share button. In the example above, the report is filtered to only show responses from the Customer Experience, Finance, and Human Resources Departments. Once you filter the report the way you want it, enter the name(s) or group(s) you would like to share it with, and click Share to share the report.
