Complete Summary Report

The Complete Summary report sums wages, taxes, and deductions, and breaks them out by type for the given pay date or date range selected. Each wage, tax, and deduction is listed and summed up separately. This report can be exported with or without demographic data in the following versions:

  • By Employee (columns)
  • By Employee (columns) (No Demographic)
  • By Employee (rows)
  • By Employee (rows) (No Demographic)
  • By Pay Date (columns)
  • By Pay Date (rows)

Complete Summary Report  - Project Tracking 

The Complete Summary Report - Project Tracking is your ideal report for tracking employer deduction and tax job costs by project. This report includes hourly and salary employees who track time spent using our Project Tracking feature. The following versions are available for download within BambooHR > Reports > Payroll Reports > Pay Date or Date Range:

  • By Employee (columns)
  • By Employee (columns) (No Demographic)
  • By Employee (rows)
  • By Employee (rows) (No Demographic)
  • By Pay Date (columns)
  • By Pay Date (rows)

BambooHR includes exempt and non-exempt salary employees who track project hours in this report. If employees track fewer hours than the default for their pay schedule, the remaining hours are considered regular and not tracked to any project.

BambooHR calculates the total pay for a specific project and task, and then divides that amount by the total overall pay to determine the allocation of job costs. This results in the percentage of total pay attributed to the project. We then apply that percentage to the deduction or tax amount to determine the specific allocation for that particular project. Employer deduction costs and taxes are still listed as a single amount and are also divided across all the projects for which your employees receive pay.

Upon downloading the report, you can find the following data:

  • Employer deduction costs as a single total amount "[Deduction_Name]-Total)"
  • A breakdown of deduction cost by project name ( "[Deduction_Name]-[Project_Name]) as long as the employee received pay for the project
  • Employer tax costs as a single amount "[Tax_Name]-Total)"
  • A breakdown of tax costs by project name ("[Tax_Name]-[Project_Name]") as long as the employee received pay for the project
  • The total cost of wages, taxes, and deductions for each project by row
  • A breakdown of hourly costs by project
  • Rehire Date, Gross Wage,  Wages, Employment Status, and Location labels–broken down by rows or columns, depending on the report download type
