The Welcome widget introduces new employees to their HRIS system, BambooHR. It appears for new accounts and users logging in for the first few times, helping them become familiar with BambooHR's features. This widget displays for the first five logins unless dismissed. A new employee can dismiss the Welcome widget by clicking on the "X" in the top right corner.
Up to six tiles appear, depending on the user's access. If no corresponding access is granted and no tiles can display, only a simple welcome message will be shown.
Possible tiles include (in this order):
- Request Time Off (if you have access to request time off)
- Company Directory (if you have access to view the Company Directory)
- Goals (if enabled for your company and you are part of the filter)
- Mobile Apps (always displays if at least one other tile can display)
- Benefits (if enrolled in any benefit plans)
- Job Openings (if you have access to manage job openings)
- Your Employees’ Information (if you have direct reports)
- Approving Employee Requests (if you have direct reports)
- Reporting (if you have access to create reports)
- Training (if you have any items in your upcoming training table)
- Onboarding/Offboarding (if you have access to the Onboarding/Offboarding tab for employees)
- Pay Info (if you have the Pay Info tab)
New employees can click each section to access an in-app guide, which explains how the specific feature works within BambooHR.
