Only job openings with Open status will count toward your account limit. Once you have reached your limit, you cannot choose Open as the status while adding another job opening.

Make sure a job opening is in the Open status if you would like it to be available to potential candidates. You can change the status of a job opening to Draft, On Hold, Filled, or Canceled if you are not actively seeking to hire for that position.

The limit of available job openings on your BambooHR account is determined by the package you have purchased. The standard number of job openings available for customers with BambooHR’s Pro package is 25. Customers with Core have five job openings. Customers with the Elite package have 30 job openings.

The right number of job openings for you will be based on your organization’s hiring needs. Job openings are not only a function of how many people you need to hire, but also how many distinct positions you are hiring for at any given time. As an example, hiring 10 Customer Support Representatives to work on site at your company headquarters won’t necessitate 10 different job openings. You can't add a new location directly from your job opening. Instead, you'll navigate to Settings > Employee Fields > Location. Once you have added the new location, it will show up as an option in your job opening.

No, if you would like to keep a pipeline of candidates on deck for future consideration without assigning them to a specific job opening, you can instead create a Talent Pool in the Hiring section of your BambooHR account.

Candidates are not automatically notified based off a job opening's status changes. However, you can change candidate statuses in bulk. If you have tied an automatic email notification to the selected status, they will all receive that email notification.

Additional job openings can be purchased in groups of 10 for $30/month. These additional job openings will remain available to you and the charge will be included on your invoice on a recurring basis until you remove them.

If you are hiring multiple people for the same position at the same physical location, you can create one job opening and hire as many candidates as necessary under the single posting. If you are hiring people for the same position but the job opening has multiple location opportunities, you will need to create a new job opening for each location.

Yes! To sort your job openings, navigate to Hiring > Job Openings. You can sort by any of the headers:

• Candidates: Sort by the number of candidates.
• Job Opening: Sort the job opening titles alphabetically.
• Hiring Lead: Sort by hiring lead, alphabetically.
• Created on: Sort by the date the job opening was created.
• Status: Sort by status, alphabetically.

Please note that the sorting settings will not be reflected on your careers website.

On this same page, you can also search your job openings by Job Opening name, Department, Location, and Hiring Lead.

You can keep track of historical job openings by assigning them a closed status (On Hold, Filled, Canceled). To view these job openings, navigate to Hiring > Job Openings and in the right-hand corner, click on the status dropdown and select the status of job openings you would like to view.

The BambooHR-Indeed integration sends your jobs from BambooHR to Indeed. Once submitted, Indeed determines which jobs are published on their job board. Due to Indeed's current posting policies, jobs with similar titles or content may not appear unless they are sponsored. There is currently nothing BambooHR can do to ensure these similar jobs successfully post to Indeed.
